Game Guide
Alesta MT2 has two grind servers: Aspendos 1-120 (medium) and Altay (hard; opened at 1-75, the cap rises step by step to 99 just like the early days); classic drop rates and upgrade recipes, no edited items, 4 channels on each server. This guide covers everything you need from your first minute to the last levels (120 on Aspendos, 75 for now on Altay).
Getting started
1. Choose your kingdom
There are three kingdoms. The choice is per account and hard to change later, so pick the same kingdom as your friends.
- Shinsoo (red) — village Yongan
- Chunjo (yellow) — village Joan
- Jinno (blue) — village Pyungmoo
2. Choose your class
| Class | Play style | Skill paths (chosen at Lv5) |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Melee, high HP. The easiest start on mobile. | Bodily (attack) · Mental (defence) |
| Ninja | Fast melee with daggers or ranged attacks with a bow. | Blade fight (assassin) · Archery |
| Sura | Mixes sword and magic, strong self-buffs. | Weaponry · Black magic |
| Shaman | Ranged magic with fan/bell, heals and buffs the group. | Dragon force · Healing |
3. First steps
- The starter bag depends on the server. On Altay you get a +6 class weapon, 50,000 Yang, 2,000 each of Red and Blue Potion (L), a 7-day Auto Hunt Ticket, a Teleportation Ring and 1,000 Bravery Capes; the ticket, ring and capes cannot be sold or traded. Armour, jewellery and bonuses are earned by playing. On Aspendos you start with a bonused +9 set for your class and a level 21 horse; the full list is in the Wiki › Beginner's Guide.
- Follow the quest letters in the village (envelope icon on the left of the screen); they get you through the first levels quickly.
- At level 5, talk to your class master in the village and choose your skill path. Every level gives 1 skill point and (up to level 90) 1 status point.
- Status points: STR + VIT are the main stats for Warrior and Sura, DEX for Ninja, INT for Shaman. A stat can go up to 90.
Mobile controls
- Joystick (bottom left)
- It stays in place; slide your finger on it to walk/run. The rest of the screen controls the camera.
- Auto-run lock
- Push the joystick up: a lock icon with double arrows appears above it. Move your finger onto the icon and release; your character keeps running forward until you touch again. Touching the joystick again unlocks it.
- Attack and skill arc (bottom right)
- The big sword button is your normal attack; hold it to keep attacking. The 4 slots around it are your skills; the 1-4 button switches the skill page. In the skill window (V), long-press a skill to place it in an empty slot.
- Target and Pick up
- Target selects the nearest monster, Pick up collects items from the ground. The Auto Hunt and Mount buttons are next to the joystick.
- Camera and zoom
- Swipe the screen with one finger to rotate the camera. Pinch with two fingers anywhere on the screen to zoom in/out.
- Player tap menu
- Tap a player: Whisper, Trade, Invite to group, Add friend, Duel, Guild invite, Follow, Inspect buttons appear. Tapping the same player again closes the menu. Tap an NPC and your character walks over and starts talking.
- Inventory
- Double-tap or long-press an item to equip/use it (potions, chests, rings). Drag to move it.
- Button layout
- Menu › Mobile controls: change the control settings. Version 1.0.11 also adds a button layout choice (Arc / Grid / Row).
Levelling tips
Experience and drop chance depend on the level difference: monsters 15+ levels below you drop almost nothing, slightly higher-level monsters give more experience. Hunt within -5 / +5 of your own level.
| Level | Where to go | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1-15 | Around the village (Yongan / Joan / Pyungmoo) | Wild dogs, wolves, wild boars. Finish the quest letters. |
| 15-30 | Second village map (Jayang / Bokjung / Jungrang) | Bears, tigers, first Metin Stones. Horse quests from Lv25. |
| 30-45 | Valley of Seungryong (orc valley) | Orcs and the Chief Orc. Grouping up pays off a lot. |
| 40-55 | Yongbi Desert · Spider Dungeon floor 1 | Desert monsters, spiders. Stock up on potions. |
| 45-60 | Hwang Temple · Demon Tower | Esoteric monsters; Demon Tower floors are level-checked. |
| 55-70 | Mount Sohan · Doyyumhwan (Land of Fire) · Spider Dungeon 2 | Ice and fire monsters, Nine Tails, Flame King. |
| 65-80 | Ghost Wood · Red Wood | Ghost trees, Ghost Tree Lord. Big packs. |
| 75-95 | Grotto of Exile · Devil's Catacomb · Spider Dungeon 3 | High-level monsters and bosses; go with a group or guild. |
| 95-120 | Enchanted Forest · Cape Dragon Fire · Nephrite Bay · Thunder Mountains · Ochao Temple (Aspendos only) | Lv95-118 monsters and bosses: the last levels on Aspendos. The level cap is 120 on Aspendos; Altay opened at 1-75 and its cap rises step by step to 99. |
Level ranges are approximate; depending on your gear an area may come earlier or later.
- Form a group: the group bonus increases experience and you hunt faster.
- Break Metin Stones: a stone summons monsters around it; that is where most of the experience comes from.
- You can lose experience when you die; if an area is too hard, step back one level.
Metin Stones and drops
Metin Stones are spread across the maps and respawn about 8 minutes after being destroyed. When you break one, rewards drop together with the monsters around it. The chances below apply at the same level as the stone; they drop as the level difference grows.
| Metin (level) | What drops |
|---|---|
| Sorrow (5) · Combat (10) · Battle (15) · Greed (20) | Red/Blue Potions, Skill Book ~6%, weapons and armour +0 ~ +2 for that level |
| Black (25) · Darkness (30) · Jealousy (35) | + Skill Book ~8%, Book of Forgetfulness, Blood Pill, stones (+0~+4 stones for weapons/armour, 60%) |
| Soul (40) · Shadow (45) · Toughness (50) | + Soul Stone (for Grand Master skill levels, rare), very rarely an Enchant Item |
| Devil (55) · Fall (60) · Death (65) | + Skill Book ~10%, Reinforce Item (very rare), Zen Beans from Lv65 |
| Murder (70) · Pung-Ma (75) · Ma-An (80) · Tu-Young (85) | + Blessing Scroll (0.25%), weapons/armour +1 ~ +3 from Lv75, Bravery Cape from Lv85. Pung-Ma, Ma-An and Tu-Young do not drop stones. |
| Jeon-Un (90) | + Blessing Scroll 0.5%, Tear of the Goddess, Ring of Experience, Thief's Gloves, crystal jewellery +4 ~ +6 |
Bosses
Bosses such as the Chief Orc, Elite Dark Leader, Queen Spider, Nine Tails, Giant Tortoise, Yellow Tiger Ghost, Flame King and Ghost Tree Lord drop their own chest every time they are killed. A chest can contain Blessing Scrolls, Blood Pills, Bravery Capes, Rings of Experience, +1~+3 weapons/armour, +4~+6 jewellery, Yang or experience.
Regular monsters
They drop potions, low-level +0~+2 gear and upgrade materials (Wolf Fur, Bear Gall, Orc Tooth, Curse Book, Ice Marble…). The items the Biologist quests ask for come from monsters in their own areas. +9 items never drop anywhere; you upgrade them yourself.
Skill Books and Soul Stones
Skill levels: 1-17 with skill points, one more point → M1 (Master). M1 → G1 with Skill Books, G1 → P (Perfect) with Soul Stones.
Skill Book (M1-M10)
- Books drop from Metin Stones, bosses and occasionally monsters; they are bought and sold on the player market.
- Each reading needs 20,000 experience points and the book is used up on every attempt. Success chance is 35%.
- You must wait 18-30 hours between two readings. An Exorcism Scroll skips this wait.
- With Concentrated Reading that reading always succeeds. Both are optional, not required.
- A successful reading at M10 makes the skill G1 (Grand Master).
Soul Stone (G1-P)
- Soul Stones drop from Lv40+ Metin Stones and bosses, and are rare.
- A Soul Stone can be read once every 8-12 hours; reading depends on chance. An Exorcism Scroll skips the wait (optional).
- A successful reading at G10 makes the skill P (Perfect Master).
Upgrades and bonuses (classic rates)
You upgrade weapons and armour at the Blacksmith in the village. Example: Sword (Warrior/Sura starter weapon).
| Step | Chance | Fee | Material |
|---|---|---|---|
| +0 → +1 | 90% | 600 Yang | — |
| +1 → +2 | 90% | 1,200 Yang | — |
| +2 → +3 | 90% | 2,500 Yang | — |
| +3 → +4 | 90% | 5,000 Yang | — |
| +4 → +5 | 81% | 10,000 Yang | — |
| +5 → +6 | 63% | 20,000 Yang | — |
| +6 → +7 | 54% | 30,000 Yang | monster material ×1 |
| +7 → +8 | 45% | 45,000 Yang | monster material ×2 |
| +8 → +9 | 36% | 75,000 Yang | monster material ×2 |
- If an upgrade at the Blacksmith fails, the item is destroyed. With a Blessing Scroll the item is not lost on failure; it only drops by 1 level.
- The Blacksmith window shows which material is needed; materials drop from the monsters in that area.
- The chances above are for Aspendos. On Altay the Blacksmith uses the classic table; step-by-step chances and materials are on the Altay page.
Bonuses
- A Reinforce Item adds 1 bonus per use, up to 4 bonuses. Success chance is 100% / 80% / 60% / 50% in order; the item is used up on every attempt.
- The 5th bonus is added with a Blessing Marble.
- An Enchant Item rerolls the existing bonuses at random. Bonus values follow the classic tiers (e.g. strong against monsters 2 / 4 / 6 / 10 / 20%).
Auto Hunt Ticket
- Auto hunt works with an Auto Hunt Ticket. There are three: Daily (1 day), Weekly (7 days), Monthly (30 days).
- The timer starts when you use the ticket and runs in real time. A new ticket adds to the time left; there is no daily hour limit. The remaining time is shown in game.
- Where to get it: the Item Shop. On Aspendos 15 / 75 / 250 EP (also buyable with Effort Points), on Altay 25 / 120 / 400 EP. On Altay every new character starts with a 7-day ticket; on Aspendos you get 3 Daily tickets at level 15, and high-level bosses can drop tickets too.
- To start, tap the Auto Hunt button next to the joystick and set up skills and potions in the window.
- The rules still apply while auto hunt is on: other programs, macros or bots are forbidden.
Mounts and pets
- Horse: get the horse quests from the Stable Boy in the village (from Lv25). As your horse levels up, mounted combat and horse skills unlock.
- Tap the Mount button on screen to mount/dismount (it turns into a green Dismount while riding).
- On Altay no mount or pet is given at the start; the horse comes from the Stable Boy's quests. Everything in the Item Shop can also be earned in game through effort — those who pay save time, those who put in the effort get to the same place.
Guilds and groups
- Group: tap a player › Invite to group. A group cannot be formed if the level difference is more than 30. In a group, experience is shared and you get a group bonus; Shaman and Sura buffs work on the whole group.
- Guild: a guild is founded at the guild officer in the village (the requirements are shown by the NPC). Recruit members with tap a player › Guild invite. Guild skills and guild wars unlock as the guild levels up.
- Guild ranking on the website: Guild Ranking.
Contacting a GM
- In game: team members show a [GM] tag next to their name. You can whisper a GM in chat.
- E-mail: destek@alestamt2.com.tr
- When reporting, include your username, character name, channel, time and a screenshot if you have one.
- GMs will never ask for your password. Report anyone who does.
